If simply riding a bike is no longer enough for you, but you are more drawn to freestyle, dirt, tricks on the ramp in the skate park or on the stairs in front of the apartment building, to all those carefree moments when you can feel true freedom and fun with your friends – BMX TABOU Gravity is the option for you.
Gravity BMX bikes are a great choice for all beginner freestyle riders. TABOU BMX bikes are a great introduction to learning the first tricks and basic evolutions on two wheels… and very often on one wheel. Obviously, these are not serious performance bikes, but their design, accessories and wheels are sufficient to explore the secrets of ramp riding, struggle with various obstacles or just have fun. The BMX bikes offered by TABOU have very durable wheels and 10-inch steel frames. These are extremely important elements of BMX bikes when performing various acrobatics or frequent hits and falls, which are an inherent element of this sport.
TABOU Gravity BMX bikes – as befits proper BMX bikes – are equipped with proportionally smaller wheels with a diameter of 20 inches. This wheel size allows freestyle riding for people as tall as 140 cm. In addition, TABOU BMX wheels have aluminium rims with hubs, which makes them light and durable during tricks. Both the Gravity 1.0 and Gravity 2.0 BMX versions have wheels with special BMX 2.0 tyres, due to which the bike will have better grip and learning freestyle will be much smoother.
The BMX bikes in the TABOU offer are represented by two models from the Gravity line. Despite many similarities – such as wheel size or a special frame profile with a low seat – each of them is designed for a slightly different type of freestyle riding. BMX TABOU Gravity 1.0 tends to lean towards the so-called flatland, i.e. tricks on flat surfaces. The handlebar on this bike has a rotor that allows the front wheel to freely rotate 360 degrees. Additionally, thick pegs are mounted on the rear wheel axle to rest your feet on while performing tricks. The BMX Gravity 1.0 is equipped with a larger 36T chainring, a 16T freewheel, and Caliper brakes on both the front and rear wheels, which makes the new freestyler feel safe and more comfortable on his/her bike.
The second TABOU Gravity 2.0 BMX bike was created for ramp jumps and for dirt jumping and air tricks, i.e. all freestyle stunts during which the wheels touch the ground less often. A BMX prepared in this way does not have a rotor or brake in the front wheel, and there are no pegs on the rear wheel axle. However, the differences are not limited to the wheels themselves. BMX Gravity 2.0 is equipped with a saddle with a different profile and shape, intended for a slightly different type of freestyle than BMX Gravity 1.0. To give the freestyler on such a BMX more freedom to manoeuvre and drive the wheels, a smaller crank with a 25T sprocket and a 9T freewheel were used. Both TABOU BMX bikes come with a choice of frame and wheel colours.
